The Graphic Arts Industry Pool develops the preparedness of the sector

The Graphic Arts Industry Pool is a part of the emergency preparedness organisation led by the National Emergency Supply Agency (NESA). Operations of the pool are based on the pool agreement between the Federation of the Finnish Media Industries and the National Emergency Supply Agency. The purpose of the agreement is to maintain preparedness of the printed media.

 

Central tasks of the Graphic Arts Industry Pool

  • develop and maintain the preparedness organisation of the sector
  • draft a general plan for production in emergency conditions
  • direct and control the preparedness planning of companies in the field
  • organise practice sessions and training for maintaining preparedness of the sector
  • study the needs of preparedness and security supply storage and make related proposals
  • strategic importance classification of companies in the sector.

The pool works in close cooperation with the National Emergency Supply Agency and its experts. NESA supports the pool financially.

 

Pool Committee directs the operations

The operations are directed by the Pool Committee that consists of companies and organisations of the sector, the Defence Command and the National Emergency Supply Agency. The chairman, deputy chairman, members and secretary of the Committee are appointed by the Board of Directors of the National Emergency Supply Agency.
