The purpose of Graphic Industry Research Foundation is research and development of technologies used in the graphic arts industry and in media content production. The aim of the activities of the Foundation is to increase know-how in the businesses in the sector.

- issues grants, stipends and travel reimbursements for those active in the sector.

Sufficient, well-timed and targeted investment into research and development provides the basis for a competitive, successful and developing media sector.
All media processes and parties involved in them are included in the basic and applied research and product development.
The research and development activities are also linked to the providers of education and training on all levels, thereby supporting the necessary level of know-how and recruitment for the success of the businesses and the personnel in the sector.
A special aim is to develop media products and services for export as well as tools for producing content and functions for these.
The research and development activities coordinated, directed and financed by the Foundation originate from the needs of the businesses in the sector and of other interest groups. This activity supports the long-term success of the sector and the businesses within it.

The operation of the Foundation is based on capital income and donations. Donations for the Foundation are tax deductible for companies.
